Dialogues between architecture and vegetation, a “mechanical” alegory. Four pavillions on a tray. 1.The roof garden. A house occupies a piece of land. Vegetation can only grow on the roof. The indoor vegetation in a house may be in a pot, a vase or on a painting. 2.The patio. The vegetation is protected by walls. The plants become the furniture of this room without roof. The real furniture is in the patio camuflated as a plant or decorated with shapes of a plant. 3.The green-house Vegetation can only survive in a certain atmosphere. The plants have the shape of a glass structure. In this case it is a tree. 4.The pergola. Pergolas are traditionally made of tree truncks and allow the growing of vines on them. A green smoke which is coming out from the trunks evoques the image of branches and green leaves which the vines usually have |
